Southeast Alabama AHEC (SEAAHEC) clinical placements put health professions students/residents in real world settings with rural health care providers, community health centers, and local health departments. Students who participate in SEAAHEC Learning Programs develop an awareness of the economic and cultural barriers in healthcare delivery.

SEAAHEC is uniquely qualified to facilitate clinical placements because of its linkage to local healthcare resources and organizations. Student trainees are motivated to provide additional services and often led to practice in underserved areas following their training.
